Mr Mark Bowler Smith

Mark Bowler Smith is a lecturer in tax at the University of Aberdeen. He has taught at the University of Cambridge and currently teaches in taxation at the Institute for Advanced Legal Studies, London University and at Université Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III.
Mark’s research interests are tax law theory and the compatibility of proposed and existing taxes with certain schools of thought, such as welfare economics. He is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge, which challenges the corporate income tax and suggests reforms in line with the literature on national competitiveness.
