Objectives and Skills
The Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Law focuses on:
- Legal issues arising in connection with financial products and services, financial instruments and sophisticated financing techniques
- How key legal concepts underlying these transactions can be utilised to suit commercial objectives
- Identifying and resolving legal problems and issues from theoretical and practical perspectives
- The articulation of knowledge and understanding in oral and written presentations.
Requirements
Students must complete four subjects from the prescribed list. Students who do not have a law degree from a common law system or any prior legal studies or experience are also expected to complete the two-day preliminary subject Australian Legal Process and Legal Institutions.
