Re-enrolling
- All students are required to re-enrol by 16 November 2007 at the latest.
- If you intend to transfer courses (download an Application to transfer courses form .PDF) or take leave of absence (download an Application to take leave of absence .PDF ) in semester one 2008, you should submit the relevant forms by 16 November 2007 also. Please refer to Course Rules for information on Course Transfers and Leave of Absence.
- Please be aware that if you do not submit a valid re-enrolment or application to transfer courses by the due date above, you may miss out on a place in your chosen subject and your enrolment may be cancelled.
- To nominate your subject selections you should re-enrol online through the Student Portal. Please refer to the Instructions for Re-enrolling online. Should you have any difficulties submitting your subject choices online, you may submit the Re-Enrolment Form 2008.
- Please advise of your emrgency contact details and update personal and work details as necessary, via the 'Admin' tab on the Student Portal.

Please ensure that you read this information carefully. If you are at all uncertain about your re-enrolment, contact the Melbourne Law Masters Office, Faculty of Law, before you re-enrol.
Prerequisites and Recommended Requirements
- Many subjects have prerequisites or recommended requirements that can be met by completion of appropriate subjects or equivalent relevant work experience or prior study.
- You should ensure you check any subject prerequisites and course requirements.
- Where you are seeking a waiver of a prerequisite to enrol in a particular subject or otherwise need to demonstrate you have met a subject prerequisite you should complete and submit an Application for waiver of pre-requisites with your re-enrolment.
Student Responsibilities
- Students are responsible for checking that their enrolment meets course and subject requirements.
- Students should check that there are no clashes with class and assessment dates throughout the year.
- Not complying with course and subject requirements does not constitute grounds for any form of special consideration or special assessment.
Approval of re-enrolment
- Please note all re-enrolments will be checked and approved by a Faculty Course Adviser. This may take up to two weeks to be processed.
- You will be notified via your University of Melbourne email account of any issues regarding your enrolment. (Email accounts can be activated at: http://accounts.unimelb.edu.au/). A Provisional Enrolment Record will be posted to you once your subject nominations have been processed.
- Once you have received your Provisional Enrolment Record, please check the information carefully and notify the faculty immediately of any errors.
- If you have submitted a re-enrolment and do not receive a Provisional Enrolment Record and confirmation letter/email within two weeks please contact the Melbourne Law Masters Office on (03) 8344 6190.
Fees
- Please refer to the Student Portal for further information on fee due dates, the University fee policy and other administrative arrangements in relation to fees.
- It is the student's responsibility to ensure fee payment deadlines are met.
- The University imposes fees and penalties (including the cancellation of a student's enrolment) for failure to meet payment deadlines.
