Formatting your assessment
All research papers and take-home exams are to be submitted using Blackboard. Instructions on how to do this will be available on each subject homepage, under the assessment tab, shortly before the due date.
Research papers
Research papers should:
- be formatted to print on A4 paper
- have a 2cm (minimum) margin all around
- have all pages numbered
- include a footer with student number and subject name (do not include your name)
- have all references cited in accordance with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation
- include a bibliography
- be saved as single documents in MS Word (DOC) or Rich Text Format (RTF).
Footnotes and bibliographies are not included in the word count.
Take-home exams
Take-home exams should:
- be formatted to print on A4 paper
- have a 2cm (minimum) margin all around
- have all pages numbered
- have each question commence on a new page and be clearly identifiable (eg. Include Question number and title)
- include a footer with student number and subject name (do not include your name)
- have all references cited
- be saved as single documents in MS Word (DOC) or Rich Text Format (RTF). Do not save each question as a separate document.
Where a word limit is imposed, footnotes and bibliographies are not included in the word count.
